Dear Whoever You Are, 

​

      As I understand it, there are two powerful forces that have made you and I who we are. Those two forces are nature and nurture - in other words, our DNA and the genes we inherited combined with our unique experiences and relationships with our caregivers during our early, formative years of life.  Since neither of us got to choose our DNA, our genes, our caregivers or our early childhood experiences, it seems like it would be both illogical and cruel for us to judge each other in any way, so let's not.

 

      I hope that we can meet here  in this space in a spirit of honesty, curiosity and boundless compassion for  each other - whoever we are and wherever we are.
